 The Nanjing University-University of Illinois International Joint Informatics Laboratory (IJIL) is an international cooperative laboratory signed by the School of Information Management, Nanjing University and the School of Information Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on March 20, 2017. It aims to deepen international cooperation, enhance joint scientific research, promote academic exchanges, and raise the level of innovation. The international joint laboratory will also become a new platform for professor and student exchange and scientific research cooperation.

 This is the first international joint laboratory in the field of information management in China. Two parties will cooperate in the applications for joint research projects, joint publishing academic papers, joint intellectual property rights, and joint training of doctoral students. The establishment of the joint laboratory will be conducive to the development of substantive cooperative research between the two parties, for realization of win-win innovation by strong alliances, with expanding international scientific research cooperation and promoting academic progress.
