The Big Data-Cloud Computing Laboratory in the School of Information Management at Nanjing University was set up on May 18, 2017 by three parties as joint laboratory established by Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Data Engineering and Knowledge Service, Acer Information Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Runqian Information System Technology Co., Ltd.  This is a celebrating project for the 115th anniversary of the founding of Nanjing University and the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Information Management Discipline in Nanjing University,

 The tripartite laboratory aims to open up win-win channels for the development of the School of Information Management in the fields of big data and cloud computing through industry-university-research cooperation. Two leading companies in the fields of big data and cloud computing have donated millions of virtual cloud operating systems, big data hyper-converged all-in-one computers, and data computing engines to the "Big Data-Cloud Computing Lab", which have become the first supporting batch of big data assets for teaching and research in the School of Information Management.
